You are allowed to tell one thing to your past self (past of your choices, 10 minutes ago, 1 year, 15 years, whatever) but it can' t be anything money related (like "go buy bitcoins), what would you tell him?

Made up some signs at work today. Cut out of 1/8 aluminum. Roughly 24 x 24. Wondering if anyone would be interested in buying one thinking .01 Bitcoin including shipping(if you live in North america). If you have any ideas of your own. Hit me up see what we can work out

You are given $1,000 (USD) and a time machine that can travel to any place and time in the PAST. You can use this to buy some raw material that you trade in the past for some other raw material (no buying stocks/bitcoin) to bring back to the present. What trade do you make?

What's about all this "1 Bitcoin is to expensive, i can't buy an entire one" thing ?!

Maybe some are real people asking this question, but lately i have the feeling that some could be bigblockers trying to make Bitcoin look bad or trying to make us loose our temper.
But maybe it's ok, maybe it's a legitimate doubt people actually have and the more we learn about people doubts about Bitcoin the more we'll become good at addressing them.
Maybe we should have a FAQ section (or expand on the newcomers post) where all this doubts are addressed in an ordered and well explained way so we could copy/paste/link/whatever. Surely explained better then i could.

Point #1: What I want to underline
Bitcoin is not like tulipmania imho. It is not something we buy just so that we can get rid of it by selling at a higher price tomorrow to some "greater fool", it is something we slowly start investing parts of our portfolio in. Meaning even if we were to reach the saturation point in terms of number of people adopting, it doesn't mean these people won't keep investing in it. Stock markets for instance reached that saturation point long ago but same people keep investing their excess income month after month keeping it afloat.
----
Point #2: actually addressing your point

I thought about it too, but then I realized we are living in a bubble (not a financial one) called Western Society. If you look at %80 of the world, people still don't get much opportunities to be a proper part of the world economy.

Look at the credit card penetration metric in India for instace. As of 03/2016 there were only 25M credit cards issued, and these are not unique people count, but unique card counts. So a guesstimate of 20M individuals using credit cards in a society of 1.2B people, merely 3 years ago. Over the last 3 years this number might have drastically changed but it gives us the reality of how different the world is outside of Western Hemisphere.

Then we consider the countries that have technological access but are scared of government regulations like China, Saudi Arabia, Iran, or countries that have lots of parked cash but no way of properly taking it out in mass like Turkey, Russia, Egypt etc etc.

Then we have countries who want to diversify because of their historical economic worries like South Korea (94 IMF scare), Japan (sideways markets for 3 decades) etc.

Finally we have the NA/Europe folks who have been staying away from Bitcoin because of its' volatility, but might consider diversifying once they are convinced this is not a ponzi scheme. Lots of Bogleheads I know (and I am one too) have just started investing in Bitcoin because we now see it under a different light. I was aware of Bitcoin 4 years ago, but dismissed the idea because I thought it was an elaborate scam. I am a huge index_fund guy, and here you find me diversifying 5-10% of my portfolio into Bitcoin (admittedly not that much money but hey it is still something).

tl;dr: Even if we assume that we reached the saturation point for North America and Europe, which I disagree to some point but agree for a select generation of X and millenials, we have the rest of the world trying to catch up. Only time will tell if Bitcoin will be the medium for people to gather around, but I certainly see a huge wave of economically aware masses coming and start challenging today's world order.
